Youth Leadership

The Youth Division of the National Association of Negro Business & Professional Women’s Clubs inspires young people to get involved in their communities and develop leadership skills that will change the world. We invite youth between the ages of 12-18 to join us as we “Build LEADERS within our Community,” which includes:

Leadership
Entrepreneurship
Advocacy
Development of Technology Skills
Education
Readiness for College and Career
Service

Some of our “Building Leaders” national initiatives include:

Leadership: Formation of a Youth & Beta Psi Advisory Board to bridge the gap between Youth to Beta Psi to young adult membership while fostering youth empowerment and ensuring our young voices are heard and valued.

Entrepreneurship: Series of national entrepreneurship workshops culminating with a pitch competition at the National Convention.

Advocacy: BPW Day on Capitol Hill, where our Youth and Beta Psi members bring their issues to lawmakers.

Development of Technology Skills: Hack-A-Thon or robotics competition that teaches critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Education: Implement the BPW Storytellers Program, which will teach our youth animation skills so they can tell their story unafraid, additionally teaching our young people the business side of being an influencer.

Readiness for College and Career: College tour(s) designed to offer an enriching and transformative experience as we help guide young individuals on a journey of exploration and discovery.  And career focus days are designed to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world.
